And I must point out that  I’m talking about the business type here as opposed to the heavy duty tattooing that some people favour… I’ve always been secretly (I don’t know why??) fascinated by people’s loyalty to certain brands and what that actually tells you about those people. It’s probably just my urge to be really nosey!!! Either way, I for one am hopelessly blinkered and loyal when it comes to branding… So for example, this…

tells you that I love all things sexy and shiny, regardless of their many faults and flaws am an out and out snob when it comes to food shopping, am hopelessly addicted to the best shoes on the planet (I’ve lost count of the amount of pairs I own!!!), even if they are truly shite in the winter drink far too much of the black stuff, would love to own another Alfa regardless of their many faults and flaws I would also love to finally understand how to properly use the wonderful WordPress,  I again love all things sexy and shiny, regardless of their many faults and flaws am stupidly loyal to my Epson printers, despite the fact that mine is currently broken!!! and I will only ever buy the Guardian & the Observer… I’ve no idea why I do this, but I always do??? And I’m sure, deep down, this says a lot about me

I could easily compile a list of brands that I won’t touch even if you paid me, regardless of their many assets and plus points (I’m just not a Nokia kinda person, sorry!!!).

Again, the pure nosey side of me would love to see other people’s list of brands, but that could easily turn into one of those awful meme’s, which I hate, so I’ll leave it with mine for now… But I reckon I could already allocate a few brands to a few of my readers

I’ve had my Razr V3x for just over a year now and if I’m honest it hasn’t been without it’s complications… It’s not the smallest or slimmest phone in the world, the signal can be a wee bit temperamental at times, the phone’s plastic coating has almost entirely peeled off, but it does have one hell of a built-in camera…

There are, of course, lots of very obvious reasons why I’m not a girl… But this is one…

It’s not just the fact that I’ve got myself a nice new (Motorola V3x) phone, I’m sure lots of girls have got this phone. It’s not the fact that I opted for the subtle blue one, again I’m sure lots of girls have gone for this very colour…

No, the reason that I’m SO not a girl… Is because since getting the phone last Saturday I’ve done nothing but play with the little beauty I’ve read the instruction booklets from cover to cover, played with the accompanying software, downloaded more, emailed, videoed, WAPed, iTuned, and generally explored pretty much every single function on the lovely new phone….

And for me, that is SO a boy thing.

Tracy had a new phone a few months ago, and as yet, her booklets remain unopened (slight fib ‘cus I’ve read them!!!), hasn’t downloaded to her phone, hasn’t emailed, videoed, WAPed, iTuned, and generally, apart from listening to every single damn ringtone, hasn’t explored the functions on her new phone. She accidentally found a language translator on there last week!!!

And for me, that is SO a girl thing…

Oh… The other reason I’m SO not a girl is probably down to my phone’s ringtone

I’ve had my lovely new phone for almost a week now, and almost feel safe enough to take the ‘ L ‘ plates off…It took about 15 minutes to send my first text message!!!

Tracy had bought my phone from…”a right knob of a man, in the Carphone Warehouse at Litchfield…”…

“Two questions madam; why Orange and why Pay as You Go?”
“Because he likes Orange and because he doesn’t spend enough money to get a contract phone!!!”

I’ve never met the guy so can’t really comment. I can say that compared to my old little Samsung A300e the new Motorola V545 is space-age…It’s like swapping your little Fiat Punto for the Death Star (well it is for me anyway!!!), which is why it’s taken me a while to work out how to use the thing.

A few of the features mentioned in the manual were strangely missing from my phone, and for some reason I couldn’t use the WAP feature or send MMS image or video messages???

After vainly trying to fix the problem myself (I am a bit stubborn like that!!!) I contacted Orange…

“Stuff doesn’t work on my lovely new phone…Help”
“Er…Ok sir, what stuff doesn’t work?”

So I told him…

“Ah, has your new phone got your old SIM card in it?”
“Yeah, it came with a new one but I didn’t want to lose my number”
“We can transfer your number over to the new SIM or we can just upgrade your old SIM?”
“Upgrade my old one…”
“Would you like £9 worth of MMS messages free, and 1 month free WAP access?”
“Er…..Yeah go on then”

So thanks to the nice Orange man I was all sorted…Well sort of.

I’ve been trying a bit of Mobile Blogging…’Just send an image via text or email to go@blogger.com and we’ll do the rest…’ So I did…Yesterday…And still nothing has happened??? My message has been sent to go@blogger.com ‘cus my phone tells me it has (now where did I put that old Fiat Punto of mine???).

I’ve also noticed that there are still a few missing features on my phone that magically appear when I try the new SIM card??? So I decided to transfer everything over to the new SIM…

“My old SIM is crap & wont let my lovely new phone work properly…Help”
“Er…Ok sir, have you got a new SIM card?”
“Yeah…Can I keep my old number?”
“Yes, I just need the details of your new SIM card”

So I told her…

“Where did you get the new phone from?”
“From a knob of a….Er sorry…From the Carphone Warehouse in Litchfield”
“Are you Pay as You Go?”
“Yes”
“Well for some strange reason you’ve been given a Pay Monthly SIM card, you’ll need to change it!!!”

What a complete knob!!!
