Branding…

And I must point out that  I’m talking about the business type here as opposed to the heavy duty tattooing that some people favour… I’ve always been secretly (I don’t know why??) fascinated by people’s loyalty to certain brands and what that actually tells you about those people. It’s probably just my urge to be really nosey!!! Either way, I for one am hopelessly blinkered and loyal when it comes to branding… So for example, this…

tells you that I love all things sexy and shiny, regardless of their many faults and flaws icon_rolleyes am an out and out snob when it comes to food shopping, am hopelessly addicted to the best shoes on the planet (I’ve lost count of the amount of pairs I own!!!), even if they are truly shite in the winter icon_eek drink far too much of the black stuff, would love to own another Alfa regardless of their many faults and flaws icon_rolleyes I would also love to finally understand how to properly use the wonderful WordPress,  I again love all things sexy and shiny, regardless of their many faults and flaws icon_rolleyes am stupidly loyal to my Epson printers, despite the fact that mine is currently broken!!! and I will only ever buy the Guardian & the Observer… I’ve no idea why I do this, but I always do??? And I’m sure, deep down, this says a lot about me icon_confused

I could easily compile a list of brands that I won’t touch even if you paid me, regardless of their many assets and plus points (I’m just not a Nokia kinda person, sorry!!!).

Again, the pure nosey side of me would love to see other people’s list of brands, but that could easily turn into one of those awful meme’s, which I hate, so I’ll leave it with mine for now… But I reckon I could already allocate a few brands to a few of my readers icon_wink

‘Would you like any help packing?’

Is a question I get asked every time I visit Sainsburys

I’m sure it’s a question asked at other supermarkets to, but I wouldn’t know, because as Tracy often points out I’m a toffee nosed snob who only shops at Sainsburys!!! I don’t usually deny this either icon_wink

There are obviously loads of people who would benefit greatly from someone packing their shopping for them… I’m not, yet, one of those people. I have my sight, the use of both of my hands, so I always politely decline the offer. The big problem I have is that whenever I say… ‘Thanks, but I think I’ll be ok.’ it’s as if the checkout person has heard something completely different… ‘Help packing? Do you think I’m some sort of imbecile? I’m more than capable of packing a few carrier bags. Why don’t you just concentrate on scanning the shopping!!!’

My shopping is then usually scanned & thrown towards me at blistering speed, leaving me in a hopeless race to pack & clear the rapidly building backlog of items!!!

So if anyone from Sainsburys does happen to stumble upon this blog entry…  THANKS, BUT I THINK I’LL BE OK
